WHY DO WE HAVE AN OUT OF HOURS TELEPHONE LINE?
It’s important we maintain operations outside of normal office working hours, therefore we have an OUT OF HOURS (OOH) service. The timings when the OOH can be used are listed at the top right hand side of the website page. This is a limited service and designed to support both our Service Users and Home Care Workers outside of office hours, the following examples are typical examples of when to use the OOH telephone number:
Service Users
- Carer failed to attend a call
- Any immediate changes to the Care Plan i.e. If you are going out
- Reporting a Safeguarding matter
Home Care Workers (You must speak to the OOH Coordinator - DO NOT TEXT)
- Service User requiring further assistance (including Medical Assistance)
- No Access to a Service Users home
- Service User not present at call
- Carer reporting unable to attend call for any reason
- Reporting a Safeguarding matter
Anything else outside of these timings can normally be dealt with during normal working hours
